How to Set-Up:
To start your free 30-day trial, just enter an email address and a password. Next, insert your contacts. Then you need to check the box that you vow you are using a permission-based email list (in accordance with GetResponse’s anti-spam policy.) You will configure the fields you want for the import. It can be one field for the email address, or you can include all the contact information you want to keep on file. There is a cool option called the suppression list. If you have a list and want to send without a specific address or more, you can omit them from that list for that particular campaign.
How to Use:
To get started with sending a newsletter you can either choose the drag and drop editor or the HTML code editor. So, I selected the drag and drop editor.
Next, you start with the subject and from the field. GetResponse offers emojis in the subject line. When you get to the editor, you can either start from scratch, import a template or choose a pre-designed template. In addition, you can filter the pre-designed template choices by industry. There are six additional options that which include holidays, birthdays, notifications, webinar reminders, webinar invitations and retail e-commerce.
Besides the pre-designed templates, you can choose the plain text email, the HTML or order a template from the Get Response team. Altogether there are over 200 pre-designed professional looking templates from which you can choose. As an example, I selected a pre-designed template to explain further steps. Now, you can start to edit the design. The basic building blocks include pre-header, text block, image block, image and text, vice versa, divider, button, or webinar.
You can add social sharing and Paypal. Get creative with colors, spacing, message size, borders, backgrounds, and alignments. Furthermore, you can pull the blocks vertically and horizontally, add columns horizontally or vertically within the block editing. No need to drag and drop them. They have a complete iStock image gallery or you can upload your own images. Once you finish creating your message, you can click on the SPAM score where you will receive an evaluation based on all elements in your email. You can test and preview the email before you schedule or send it.
